Refugee Wales: Syrian Voices - ed. by Angham Abdullah, Beth Thomas and Chris Weedon
£20.00
This book focuses on the stories of Syrians who have found refuge in Wales, based on their own oral testimonies. They were recorded as part of a research project undertaken by Cardiff University and Amgueddfa Cymru- National Museum Wales. Moving away from their home country has resulted in a break from their past lives and a rupture from their histories and cultures.
One of the aims of the project was to help them connect their past to their present and give them a sense of belonging. Their histories are now part of Welsh history.
